The Canter has the same engine as the Iveco , the Isuzu engine is a lot bigger, neither have as good gearing , parabolics, difflocks or super singles so more money needs to be spent to get them 'capable'. One thing the Iveco misses out on is it lacks an exhaust brake.

Re: Iveco Daily 4x4 vs LC 79 D/C. Thanks Mike. It looks more and more like a really good alternative to a LC 79 DC. Our work environment puts us on the limits of what a heavy duty D/C can do. 90% of the time, the cruiser is a compromise and a Hilux or Ranger would be better, but they just cant cut it for the last 10%.
